Try: Clam chowder.

This cozy, old-school tavern feels local, relaxed, and lively, with a compact dining room and a strong Vermont sense of place. The food is often generous and genuinely tasty—especially the maple wings—but long waits and occasional operational misses remain part of the gamble. Try: Maple-glazed wings.

This nostalgic Wilmington counter diner serves hearty, well-liked breakfasts in a lively communal oval, with a friendly small-town feel that regulars clearly cherish. Food is generally a strong point, especially the pancakes and classic breakfast plates, but experiences can vary and the layout is a poor fit for large parties or families needing space. Try: pancakes.
This is a bustling Mount Snow hangout with dogs, games, outdoor seating, beer, and a distinctly après-ski party pulse. The food is often genuinely good—especially burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, wings, and pizza—but long waits and punishingly loud music have derailed visits. Try: burgers.
This cozy, snow-village-style bistro brings German Alpine comfort food and polished plates to Wilmington, with warm hosting and especially capable servers. Many diners rave about the schnitzel, fondue, seafood, and hearty entrées, though several detailed visits report long waits, bland or over-salted food, and prices that outstrip execution. Try: Schnitzel.
